Hospital waterbirth VBAC

A great birth story showing how all hospitals ought to be! For women who want a VBAC in a hospital, it's often a frustrating uphill battle to "try" and "attempt" a VBAC in a climate that doesn't do much to facilitate it. So it's encouraging to read stories like this one.

  1. That is an awesome story. It is so nice to hear stories like that coming out of a hospital when most of the stories make me cringe for the mothers and babies involved. It also brought back memories of my own baby's birth that wasn't that long ago. WOW! Thanks for sharing that one.

I hope you are continuing to have a blast in France. Do you have any more delightful pics of Zari to share? :)

  2. What a great story!! I love to hear the stories of the "good" (and even GREAT) OBs.

  3. I have some very serious info to pass on regarding midwives, home birth, & the scary midwifery/homebirth bill in the house. I am outraged & I'm sure you will be too!! I hope you pass it on as well! You can access it through my blog post today:

  4. Oh wow...I was doing a quick search on VBAC waterbirth and came across your link to my very own story. I know that this was from a while ago--my son is already 15 months old--but I just wanted to thank you for posting this link. It was such an empowering birth, in so many ways, and I am thrilled whenever I hear that someone else also found it empowering or encouraging or inspiring.

  5. this story is amazing and how i wish my upcoming vbac would go. i just found out thought that i cannot birth in the tub... i can labor in there, but since the water interferes with monitoring, i will not be allowed to actually deliver in the tub. i'm trying to figure out what kind of strings i can pull to get things to go my way, but the midwife i see for my prenatal visits straight up says no. they even have inflatable birthing tubs available to be setup in the delivery rooms at the hospital (for non-vbac moms, only). it makes me sad and angry but i chose to vbac in a hospital because i'm afraid of the worst case scenario.
